Event Description:
Join for an evening of film, conversation, and community engagement.
The evening will begin with a pizza dinner at 5:00 PM, followed by a screening of the 2024 Oscar Award winning documentary No Other Land at 5:30 PM. A discussion will begin at 7:30 PM.
The film follows Palestinian activist Basel Adra as he documents the destruction of his community in Masafer Yatta in the occupied West Bank and forms an alliance with an Israeli journalist who joins his fight.
This event is hosted in partnership with Christians for a Free Palestine, the Social Witness and Restorative Justice Committee of the Presbytery of the Coastlands, and the Peace and Justice Committee of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville.
Childcare will be provided. Children are welcome to join for pizza before the film begins.
For those who prefer to watch the film at home, a Zoom link will be available for the discussion beginning at 7:30 PM. The film can be rented on several platforms.
